imageHaving trained at Merrist Wood Agricultural College in 2007, I achieved a Distinction in Floristry Level 2 whilst working as a trainee florist at Florabundance in East Grinstead. The following year I was promoted to supervisor and as well as attaining another Distinction in advanced Floristry Level 3, in that year we proudly received the Flower Council of Holland’s ‘Florist Shop of the Year’ Silver award! I have won prizes in Interflora and County Show floral competitions.
In 2008 I joined Flowers by Rosemary, a well-established and reputable chain of florists in the Guildford area and was promoted to manager of the Woking store in 2010. After relocating to Surbiton, I worked for another successful chain of florists before deciding to work as a freelance florist.
I gained invaluable skills working with fantastic florists including Mary, known as the fastest-pedestal-arrangement-maker in the South and the local church's favourite, in addition to Rachel who won a Silver Gilt at the Chelsea Flower Show for Young Florist of the Year. Their styles, techniques and crafty tricks have inspired me to make outstanding arrangements, creating my own unique and versatile style.
It is important for me to listen to my clients' ideas and turn them into floral displays that will decorate and enhance any occasion. Small details can make a great difference when creating and matching the desired style. I love the challenge of new ideas, whilst respecting and admiring the traditional ones. Any project is always a pleasure for me, from start to finish.
